Annie is busy being a suck-up, so I am going to tell you guys all about the cookies from yesterday!! OH YEAH.. HI I'm Cocoa the ChiPoo. I am actually the most spoiled one in the house but shhh, don't tell or else the others will get mad and pick on me.
So yesterday Mom and Dad made Peanut Butter Puppy Poppers for me and Annie. They are SO GOOD! and Mom says they are easy too. I don't care about the easy part not really, only that it seems if it is easy then I get it faster!
Mom says I have to give you the recipe so here it is:
2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 cup of peanut butter - it can be creamy or chunky (we like the creamy better though)
1 cup of milk
Get the oven hot, like to 375 F hot.
You mix up the peanut butter and milk then add the mixed together flour and baking powder.
Then you knead it. The recipe says on a floured surface but Mom just does it in the bowl.
Then you roll it out to about 1/4" thick. Mom says if it's thinner it makes crispy cookies and thicker makes them softer. We like softer!
I hang out under Mom hoping that she will drop some pieces on the floor for me.
So she gets it about this thick -
(Look at Annie PRETENDING she is a good dog...)
So you cut the cookies out however you want. Mom and Dad just make squares because we don't care what shape they are!
You put them all out on a greased cookie sheet and cook them for about 15 to 20 minutes. Mom only cooks ours for 13 minutes though since they are just the way we like them at that point.
OH BOY we can smell the cookies now Mom! We know they are done!
Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie!
Mom and Dad cool off the cookies and put them in a tupperware container in the fridge for us. We like them to stay all soft and the fridge is the best place for that!
Remember that they don't last as long as those store bought ones though since there aren't any preservatives in them. They do mold - like Dad found out when he had a stash for us next to the bed upstairs.
Ok it's time for me to go get one of those cookies now. I was a very good boy and Mom says I can have one of the bigger ones!
WooHoo!!

Mama's Making Dinner!
Mama said it was time to go ahead and get this blog started and since Cocoa the lazy butt is upstairs taking a nap with Dad, I thought I, Annie Bananie, would go ahead.
Mom is making us our dinner for the week right now. It's one of my favorites! Puppy Hamburger Helper!
First Mom fries up the hamburger meat, makes the oatmeal, boils the eggs (and chops them up) and boils the veggies. This week is corn and peas.
Then she piles everything up on the stove and take a picture of it for some reason!
I guess it was so you guys could see it all!
Then she adds the pound-ish of hamburger and 2 hard boiled eggs to a big bowl,
and then puts in 2 tablespoons of yummy cottage cheese,
then she tosses the half a cup of cooked regular oatmeal on top of that.
While that sits all happy and yummy in the bowl, she takes the veggies - half cup each (or so that there is a whole cup of veggies in there). and puts them in the blender to make them all mashed up so we can get all the nutrition out of them since we don't chew up our food so well. This time it was corn and peas. I like those better than the green beans actually.
Visualize Whirled Peas... HAHA! I don't have to and neither do you because we took a picture!!
OK back to the dinner! SO - then you take those yummy veggies and toss them in with everything else in that big bowl.
Then you mix it all up really really good and put it into smaller containers to refrigerate.
It will last in the fridge for 3 days so if Mom makes too much she just puts it in small single serve containers (well, double serve because there is two of us that want it for dinner!) and she just freezes it until we need it.
We eat about 3/4 cup of it at a time though. We are quite the hungry puppets because we use so much energy playing all day!
Mom says if I am real good we can make some cookies tomorrow and we will share that will you guys too!
They are SUPER YUMMY Puppy Peanut Butter Poppers!!!
OK I am going to go play ball now and wait for dinner! only 50 more minutes!
BYE!
